Corner armoires are these cabinets that are usually place in the corner, specially designed to act as a desk or as a simple cabinet.  Corner armoires are great for office of use and home use as well.  Especially, corner armoires are a great place to put your pc in because you can organize your desk a lot easier that way. Also, when you leave the office or your home corner armoire you can easily shut the doors and by doing this you save more room space and it gives you a sense of tidiness of the whole room. Even if you have an untidy desk, with papers everywhere next to your pc, it is a lot easier if you have a corner armoire to hang stuff on inside of the doors and close everything when you leave. That way if someone comes to visit, they won't see your untidy desk the minute they walk into the room. So, from this point of view, a corner armoire is a great way to organize your papers and to save more space that way.
The only disadvantage with corner armoires is that because that they are large in size; it is hard to move them around, not to mention transport and getting them through the door sometimes. However, some corner armoires can be disassembled, like the ones from IKEA. That way you can transport it a lot easier by carrying only a couple of wooden planks and some screws. You can even transport them manually by talking the bus home.
There are also other types of corner armoires, for kitchen use and other places in the house, like the TY cabinet in your living room. You can find corner armoires in almost all the furniture stores, but I recommend buying one at IKEA due to the ease of getting them back home.
If you do not wish to buy one, you can also make one yourself. There are a few essential guide lines that you should follow and keep in mind. These are material gathering, considering the size of the desk, and knowing the purpose of your desk before you start building it. When it come to material gathering, you have to know what type of material you need, by this I mean what type of wood, how much of each material you need and also buy a few pieces extra in case of mishaps.
